Communication on a motorcycle is giving problems because of the wind noise, surrounding the helmet. At 120 km/u the wind noise is about 98 dB. Compare it with a circle saw. If you do not use hearing protection, you risk permanent damage. So in order to have a good understandable conversation, you need noise cancelling microphones and a good set of speakers.
